Fractures, Lance Armstrong collarbone

Transferred from more special blog, schemes and approaches to treat fractures.
This may be not so topical for tennis compared to cyclists which suffer such a variety
of traumas from scratches, the "asphalt disease", to life-threatening brain traumas and
years in coma after that.
The below is composed for my favourite cyclist and unique champion Lance Armstrong,
fracture of collarbone in 2009.

1. Basic energy points for his case:

2. Guidance to acupuncture and work in local systems:
First is the reflex zone for the collarbone:

You just mark the fracture location and work the cigarette from either side along the bone to this point ("concentrating" the vital force there), which will at least promote circulation there.

Also, several acupuncture schemes for the collarbone:

General - healing of trauma
Special:
structural - accent on restoring the structural integrity of the bone
functional - promoting functional activity i.e. curculation in the bone.
 General scheme:

Structural:

Functional:

The points are touching the nail from outside (their pink edge), going around at 45 degrees to each other, size 2-3 mm; marked + massaged on all specified fingers in the sequence by the numbers near the points, it's vital to not confuse the fingers!
Marking the points by felt-tip pen in colours shown on the pics is the mildest and safest acupuncture mode (good for children).
Works stronger if also massage the points for several minutes in the same order by smth like round tip of a pencil, one or several points
may appear more painful, so more massage to them.
One may have them marked as long as he wants, and massage as frequently as he wants.

Full potential have acupuncture needles or moxibustion: heating by a cigar (the special ones sold in acupuncture shops, but the usual tobacco works also)
Won't recommend the first for self-treatment, but the latter is possible, at least rather safe, if just heat all the points in a sequence. One may even try the full-scope treatment i.e. tone up the points by working the cigarette clock-wise in some 2-2.5 cm to the point, and sedate i.e. anticlockwise, and fixed cigarette for the green points.

You use one scheme at a day; change schemes like today the general one, next day N1 of special, next day N2 etc.
Or do each scheme for 3 days – according to the feelings.

Numbers marked red for points to tone up, blue to sedate, "neutral" = green points are numbered in violet.

Additionally, healing for the collarbone in “local” system:

This is to draw a curcle 5-10 mm in size with the centre
in the fracture spot on the reflex path for the collarbone (green strip).
The points for acupuncture are mapped assuming that vertical axis is on the collarbone path.
The points for acupuncture to tone up and sedate are marked red and blue as previous.
They got too small for moxibustion so the option is to heat the sectors, with red points to tone up, the left violet arrow, and with blue point to sedate – the right arrow, working in 2-2.5 cm above the skin until a pleasant warmth sensation.

The schemes were composed in Nails system described earlier because it is:
--- simplest to locate points for non-professionals
--- probably the fastest-working,
Besides, they are specially used for endocrinal diseases as nails meridians are Neitro-meridians in Spiral system of fingers and endocrinal glands are Neitro-organs in Triorigin classification.

Stefan Edberg - back problem

One of best tennis players ever with unmatched serve-and-volley game.
His smart tennis and intelligent behavour on and off-court made him the only one
of it's kind.
Reportedly he got his back problems from his trademark serve which seemingly put too much stress on his back which finally caused slipped disc problem.
As everything related to Stefan Edberg has a bit of mist over it, Web search hasn't provided what particular area of spinal column and what disc have got injured.

The easiest way to treat vertebrae is Standard and Insect Correspondence systems which have been
described earlier:

The spinal column is projected
on hand so that it's easy to target
every individual vertebrae

The same easy is to locate spinal column on every finger
(thumbs have a bit different mapping)

Every problem will create sensitive and painful points at the corresponding zone of vertebra.
One can search along spinal cord by pressing with smth like round tip of a pencil to collect such points, then:
--- massage them, by the same tool
--- do simple moxibustion by incense stick: holding it perpendicular to a point at comfortable distance
to mantain a constant flow of heat until a pleasant warmth at a point; the pain usually subsides and may disappear even after a single session.
One may do massage as frequently as he wants during a day and moxibustion is advisable for 1-2 times
a day.
Every area and individual vertebrae can also be addressed by acupuncture treatment:
Regions have energy mapping as:
--- cervical - "Heat"
--- thoracic - "Wind"
--- lumbar - "Dampness"
--- sacral - "Dryness"
which allows general acupuncture recipe, for example, for pain in lumbar region:
Cold (bones system)--->Darkness (spinal column)---> Dampness (lumbar region):
Cold, Dryness (pain and movements restriction) sedate, Wind, Burn (opposite energies)
tone up

This can be detailed firther if for example a problem with 4-th lumbar vertebra:

Cold (bones system)--->Darkness (spinal column)---> Dampness (lumbar region)--->
--->Dryness (4-th vertebra):  Cold, Dryness (pain and movements restriction) sedate, Wind, Burn (opposite energies) tone up

For thoracic region in general the scheme is:

Nails system, points and work in it was described earlier:
http://acupuncturefortennis.blogspot.com/2010/10/cruciate-ligament.html

Schemes for joints: hips and shoulders

The scheme actually is aimed on structures controlled by energy of Wind, i.e. muscles, tendons, ligaments; to treat traumas in general one can omit the first green point.

First scheme:
--- men left hip and shoulder
--- women right hip and shoulder

The same for:
--- men right hip and shoulder
--- women left hip and shoulder

Explanations for schemes and position of points, tools and methods for self-treatment have been given

Forerams/elbows and shin/knees traumas

Schemes in acu points for forerams/elbows and shin/knees.
First scheme:--- men left forearm/elbow and shin/knee
--- women right forearm/elbow and shin/knee

The same for:
--- men right forearm/elbow and shin/knee
--- women left forearm/elbow and shin/knee

Schemes for joints: wrists and ankles

This and following posts describe detailed schemes with acu points to assist healing
of individual joints.
Shemes are aimed on promoting circulation and makeing recovery
faster.

Wrists, first scheme for:

--- left wrist and left ankle for men
--- right wrist and ankle for women
Wind (ligaments)--->Wind (left wrist and left ankle for men): Gomo (energy of trauma) sedate, Hetero (opposite energy) tone up , Neitro, Neito (controlling energies) control

 Treatment was described earlier.

The same for:
---right wrist and ankle for men
--- left wrist and ankle for women

This is for individual joints, but if something extraordinary, namely both wrists get injured by some incredible tennis stroke, which in theory is possible for 2 hand backhand:
--- both wrists are treated by first scheme because if taken as both they belong to energy of Wind
--- similarly, trauma of both ankles is treated by the second scheme, belonging to energy of Cold,
but this also seems more topical for alpine skiing and similar.

Joints, easy self-treatment II

Joints of thumb correspond to 2 joints of neck, and everything the same for self-treatment.
Though it seems not too common tennisplayers have nagging neck problems or get neck
injured.

Joints, easy self-treatment

The Standard Correspondence system allows plain and convinient treatment
of joints of arms and legs:

They get their mapping on fingers,
and fingers joints represent wrists,
elbows, shoulders joints - little and index fingers, together with ankles, knees and hip joints - ring and middle fingers.

Any problem in there immediately creates sensitive and painful points around the corresponding finger joint line.
Thus one searches along a joint line by pressing with smth like round tip of a pencil to collect such points, then:
--- massage them, by the same tool
--- do simple moxibustion by incense stick: holding it perpendicular to a point at comfortable distance
to mantain a constant flow of heat until a pleasant warmth at a point; the pain usually subsides and may disappear even after a single session.
One may do massage as frequently as he wants during a day and moxibustion is advisable for 1-2 times
a day.

Acupuncture treatment by points is also possible; sometimes most impressive effects are obtained by
laser: together with pain/inflammation relief one may get feeling of intense energy inflow sometimes even ovewhelming emotionally.
This may indeed turn into impressive shots on court, however may at the same time cause erratic play
because being unable to control this.
